Somehow the Dimensity 9300+ beats it in power consumption in gaming, so it really depends on the usecase. I, for one, would really want to have a phone I can install custom firmware on, to unlock the full potential of the hardware by not having to run the bloated OS wrapper like HyperOS.
8 gen 3 sidegrade, but 8 gen 3 has proper turnip support, while adreno 8xx architecture doesn't. It is better to stick with old flagship if price the same.
Tough sell ngl.. Considering SD 8 Gen 3 phones are going down in price significantly, a brand new phone with this new chip would have to be priced way too low for it to make sense.. I wonder what the real reasoning behind these 8s chips are
@@kubotite9168 I’ve seen the Oneplus Ace 5 go for 360 on aliexpress, reputable store too, new phones with this processor could likely match that price, but going lower than that seems difficult.. but hey, the more options for consumers, the better
@@大马金城武 F7 Ultra costs double than what X7 Pro or F7 would cost, whereas I don't game and don't edit videos or do anything that uses all 8 cores, really, so all I need is a Snapdragon 8s Gen 4. It will still be faster than even the 8 Gen 3, as seen in the video.

别忘了这是工程机，芯片体质是特挑的，用的还是9600的内存，这种定位的芯片在量产机上绝对不可能给9600的内存的，盲猜一手量产机小输8gen3
首选按照惯例高通的工程机一般跟量产机性能差距不大，联发科的工程机才是真正的特挑u，其次视频里已经说明了它的内存频率是4800不是9600

I have an 8s Gen 3 phone I got for super cheap in a sale and it is a very good chip at the right price. Hope 8s Gen 4 isnt much higher.

Nah 8s gen 3 chips are usually cheaper in my region compared to 8gen 3 models. I expect 8sgen 4 to follow the same trend with 8 elite.
